Family is Our Business

At IGE Glass Technologies, “family business” means more than bloodlines. Yes, I’m proud to welcome my youngest daughter, Sara Spellman, into the company — but the story goes deeper.

Many of our employees have been with IGE for 15, 20, even 25 years. As a matter of fact, I even convinced my wife to leave her career in the financial industry behind, and join IGE 28 years ago. My other daughter Erin worked with IGE for 3 years before departing to pursue her Masters Degree. Our valued team of employees watched my children grow up, and in many ways, they’ve become part of our extended family. That continuity, loyalty, and shared history are what make IGE unique.

What makes this even more remarkable is that our suppliers mirror this same story. Over the last four decades, IGE has partnered exclusively with world-class manufacturers to serve glass fabricators across North America. Every one of our manufacturers is family-owned, and every one of them focuses on doing one thing better than anyone else.

This “one-family, one-focus” approach ensures that every product we represent is best-in-class. Because if you dedicate your business to making one thing — it has to be great, or you don’t survive.

So today, in our very first CLEAR CUT Blog, I want to congratulate and thank:

 - Our dedicated employees, who make IGE what it is;

 - Our family-owned manufacturing partners, who trust us exclusively in North America;

 - Our customers, who continue to push innovation forward and place their confidence in us.

Together, we’ve built something rare: a global family of specialists working as one. And with Sara now officially part of IGE, the tradition — and the family — continues.
