When You Improve How Glass Moves, You Improve Everything

Your Single Source Provider for Glass Fabrication Equipment, Spare Parts, Service, Supplies, Rebuilds, & Retrofits

Over the past four decades, I’ve had the opportunity to walk through glass fabrication facilities all over the world - different countries; different cultures; different levels of automation. But one thing is always the same:

How glass moves through the factory determines how well that factory performs.

All of these factory walks have taught us a lot, and all of these factory walks have lead to the glass fabrication solutions in IGE's carefully curated "Ecosystem". Some of those solutions have been part of our ecosystem for many years; some for decades. One such product that's been part of our ecosystem for 15 years is the ATIS Pneumatic Manipulator for glass handling.

The Reality Inside Most Plants

No matter how advanced the equipment is, I continue to see the same challenges:

- Overuse of the central crane

- Operators waiting on shared equipment

- Manual handling where it shouldn’t exist

- Bottlenecks between otherwise efficient processes

And it’s not because people don’t understand automation; it’s because handling is often treated as an afterthought.

Where the Problem Really Is

Most facilities rely heavily on overhead cranes, and those cranes are critical. But they’re often used for everything. Your crane should be doing your highest-value work - not your most frequent work.

Why ATIS Stands Out

This is exactly why ATIS has been part of the IGE ecosystem for as long as it has. Not because it’s the biggest investment in the building, but because it solves a real, everyday problem — extremely well. ATIS manipulators bring handling directly to where the work happens.

Versatility That Fits the Real World

The ATIS Pneumatic Glass Manipulator can be:

- Suspended from the ceiling

- Mounted on the floor

- Integrated into the structure

That flexibility allows it to fit into any facility.

The Impact

- Operators stop waiting

- Glass moves smoothly

- Breakage drops

- Crane is freed up

- Flow improves

It’s not a small solution—it’s a foundational one.

After four decades of walking factory floors, very few solutions are essential. ATIS is one of them. Because when you improve how glass moves, you improve everything.
